SURPLUS PRODUCE & FOOD MADE FREE TO CLIENTS OF ESPERANCE CARE SERVICES
Esperance Care Services runs food programs to support people in need in our community. ECS has access to several sources that supply food which is made available for free to our clients and customers. Woolworths generously donates day-old bread and occasionally produce for ECS to distribute to clients in need. This bread is free for clients and customers of ECS to collect.
Other retail outlets, local gardeners and farmers donate surplus produce that is excess to their requirements. ECS values the support of local businesses like Brumbies, IGA, and our cafes who regularly donate food to us for distribution.
As a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation, Esperance Care Services is eligible to receive food donations through SecondBite Perth. SecondBite is a leading national food rescue organisation working with a range of food suppliers to rescue surplus fresh food from across their network and redistribute it to local charities and non-profits around Australia.
ECS is also a place where people can leave seeds, seedlings and garden produce for others to collect free of charge.
